Dunwoody Fencing Club is the first United States Fencing Coaches Association Guild Academy Club in Georgia. This designation identifies clubs that demonstrate the gold standard of coaching. All of our Coaches are Certified by the United States Fencing Coaches Association.
We offer Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced level training. Individual instruction is available and recommended. Our Beginning level classes are designed to introduce students to the exciting art of Olympic fencing, teach fundamentals, build stamina, and increase self esteem.

Dunwoody Fencer Brings Home Bronze from Nationals!
DFC Fencer Katie Van Riper won the Bronze Medal at the latest North American Cup Tournament held in St. Louis. Ms. Van Riper faced a challenging field of over 100 other competitors to earn her B Rating and the Bronze Medal in the Women's Div II Epee event. Ms. Van Riper also earned National Points with her finish in the Cadet Division.
Head Coach Kathy Vail, is a USFA Certified Epee Coach who completed her training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. She is past Chairman of the Georgia Division of the United States Fencing Association and a current member of the Executive Board. She is the co-founder and current Vice-Chairman of the Georgia High School Fencing League. Coach Vail also serves as the United States Fencing Association Regional Youth Coordinator for the Southeastern US.
